A jubilant Thiri Shwe Sin, 21, a Myanmar migrant worker, shows the cheque she received from the Government Lottery Office. Ms Thiri bought the lucky ticket from a lottery vendor in front of the Songkhla Canning Co factory where she works. Speaking through an interpreter, the smiling young woman said she would wire all the money to her parents in Myanmar, and they would take care of it for her. The happy Myanmar woman was greeted by customers and bank staff when she arrived at the branch on Tuesday. Thiri Shwe Sin, 21, shows a bank account detailing her deposits of the money from the first-prize lottery ticket.
